ABIGAIL was formed in January of 1992 by Yasuyuki (bass / vocals), Youhei (drums) and Yasunori (guitar) being inspired by early Black / Thrash Metal bands like BATHORY, VENOM, SODOM, BULLDOZER, HELLHAMMER, NME etc. The first demo ?Abigail Demo #1 ?92? was released in July of 1992 and in August of the same year they played their first gig with SIGH.

In February of 1993, Youhei and Yasunori left the band. Nevertheless, second rehearsal/demo ?Blasphemy Night? was released in March. In August of 1993, 7? EP ?Descending From A Blackened Sky? was recorded by only Yasuyuki. This 500 limited 7? EP was released on H.S.B. Records in Holland and was sold out within 1994.

In June of 1995 Warmaster Records in Colombia released 700 limited split CD with FUNERAL WINDS, which was again recorded by only Yasuyuki. Yasunori and Youhei came back to the band in February of 1995 and recorded ?promo tape ?95?, which was released on 7? EP by Of Gods Disgrace Productions, Canada in March of 1996.

The debut full-length album ?Intercourse and Lust? was unleashed in 1998 by Modern Invasion Music from Australia. In 1999 ABIGAIL joined Necropolis Records compilation CD ?Thrashing Holocaust? and leave Modern Invasion Music later that year.

In spring 2000, ABIGAIL played their first overseas gig at Drakkar Hell Fest and established new contact with Drakkar Productions, France. Soon after, the band played a big European tour with IMPIETY in November of 2000 and received a great response.

In July 2001, Warlord Records, Italy released a BULLDOZER tribute split 7? EP with DECAYED. Later that year, ABIGAIL tour France and Germany with WITCHBURNER and BLIZZARD in November.

By January 2002, the band play a gig in Taiwan and the new MCD ?Welcome All Hell Fuckers? was released on Drakkar Productions. The MCD tracks were recorded in France after the 2000 European tour.

Yasunori left ABIGAIL in February 2002 and the band recorded their second CD ?Forever Street Metal Bitch? in February through June and was released on Drakkar Productions in December that same year. Guitar parts were played by Shinichi of SIGH and Asuka who joined the band after the second CD was released. Mirai, also of SIGH, played organ solos and session vokills. A split picture disc 10? with WITCHBURNER was released on Iron Bonehead Records in July 2002. Later that year a split 10? LP with BARBATOS was released on Bestial Onslaught Productions and immediately following the release in November was ABIGAIL?s first U.S. tour. Read more on Last.fm.
