O Hot Chip é uma banda inglesa de música eletrônica formada em 2000. O músico Al Doyle vem de Leeds e o restante dos músicos vem de Londres.
A banda já fez muitos shows, inclusive com aparições nos festivais Glastonbury, Sónar, Big Day Out e também muitas turnês em território americano e europeu nestes últimos três anos. Lançaram dois singles em 2006 - Over and Over e And I Was A Boy From School, ficando muito bem posicionado no ranking. O álbum The Warning foi elogiado pela crítca e pelo público, ganhando a nomeação de melhor álbum de 2006 pela Mercury Music Prize. A canção Over and Over foi eleita o melhor single de 2006 pela conceituada NME.
O primeiro álbum da banda foi lançado pelo selo indie Moshi Moshi. Agora a banda é contratada da DFA Records, capitaneada por James Murphy, líder do LCD Soundsystem.
